In the year 1967, I was residing on the 5th floor of the Student's Hostel Building facing the rear entrance of the Anatomy Department circular building. The brass plaque above the entrance door has inscription in Latin and its version in German.
Translated into English, it says: Here stays the death (the dead) in service of life (the living). I was greatly appreciative of this message of the Research Laboratory of the Department of Anatomy, University of Leipzig.
Every morning, I used to look at the plaque from the room window, as though I was offering the SOORYA NAMASKAARAM (Prayer to the Sun God).
I feel the nostalgia, even now, when I look at this photo. (SIVARAMAIAH GUNTUR).
