Having used Affinity products like Designer, Photo, and Publisher for a few years, I'm thrilled with their performance and customization options. Affinity Designer's intuitive interface and customizable features enhance my vector graphic design workflow.

Affinity Photo's powerful editing tools and non-destructive editing capabilities make it my go-to for photo manipulation.

Affinity Publisher seamlessly integrates with other Affinity products, providing a reliable solution for desktop publishing. The affordability of the entire suite, without a subscription model, adds to its appeal.

In my opinion, the best alternative to Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop and Indesign.

Finally, an alternative to Adobe!
Their products are excellent value (with a one time purchase - no subscriptions here) and have so many features you wouldn't expect for software at this price. With their apps now available on the iPad, you can literally work anywhere using the same tools regardless of the platform.
Their Publisher software has now been released, and I think many InDesign users will be taking a look.

They provide a good software suite, it's all the value added extras which they addon which puts the prices far far to high. On top of that they will sell the to you the same package twice. The problem being that they never really tell you the name of any extras, they just tell you what they do.
Adding to that the fact that some of these value added packages aren't fully compatible with their software which then goes looking for Adobe products.
Their in house addons, templates etc are version specific, so if you buy all the Serif addons for Serif Page Plus 6 then upgrade to 7 none of the addons will load so you then have to buy new addons.
Their talk a storm about caring for their customers but all they want is for you to write a blank check.
If I sound very negative it is because I have had to demand yet another refund due to their miss selling, what they wanted to was give me credit note (distant selling laws say that that is not acceptable).

This location is the warehouse, I give Serif 5 stars simply because they deserve it, I had a problem with a delivery and suggested a solution that was a "little bit out of the box " and they agreed, consequently someone is getting a Christmas present at Christmas!
Full marks!
I started using Affinity photo not long after it came out, it is, I find, intuitive to use and not prone to 'crashing' the HDR and stitching persona's are much used and I personally think easier to use than Photoshop. Anyway try it yourself and see! Once again, thanks Serif and happy Christmas!

Update: Please note that eventually the problem was resolved. I'd love to give them 5 stars but the fact that they don't have a customer service policy that effectively limits email trouble shooting to maybe one or two attempts still leave a bit left to be desired. It's not that the software is bad... in fact it's great and I can again use it for work, but I'll now know not to rely on them for support, that is unless they change their support policy.

They could easily have earned a five star review from me had they not only provided email support. After 32 email interactions, they can't solve a problem where their software, which used to run properly, will not longer install. Yes I get it, it may have to do with something at my end, but if they are unwilling to provide some form of 2nd level 1-1 support, you could be left hanging like me, depending on their tools to run my business and stuck having to go elsewhere. Who would have thunk it. I've gone back to Adobe Photoshop (didn't want to, and they could have earned my trust, but failed).

And now reading the response, it makes me realise that the point I was trying to make was missed.

The issue here is not that your efforts don't normally solve the problem, but rather that attempting to solve a problem of this nature that doesn't get solved in the first 2 attempts should be handled differently and not continuing on with emails. That's when you schedule a call, maybe a remote session and show how much you care. Nothing replaces direct interaction. And that's the issue.

Note that should you wish to reach out and make that effort, I could be easily persuaded to change my views to being far more positive. The ball is in your court.

I have been using Serif products since Windows 95. Today will be my last. What a sad end to years of successful partnership.

If you no longer support your customers its not rocket science that in choosing this path you quite literally drive you loyal customers to your competitors.

For me the complete software suite of Serif was a revelation. Affordable programs that are relatively easy-to-use. Users can step in at the level of easy to understand basic functions and can later explore the great number of extras if they want more. I started using WebPlus about 5 yrs. ago and now use the complete Serif suite. The programs PagePlus, PhotoPlus, DrawPlus and MoviePlus work very simular in as many functions as possible. They are all upgraded regularly. My number one.... Webplus X6!
