I can’t complement AIM’s customer service highly enough. Genuinely interested in helping. Frank talked me through setting up my MX2E dash and there’s no way I’d have been able to do it on my own.

Great kit and great customer service.

Be aware when dealing with this company.

Quite a poor customer experience with Aim Technologies. I have had multple issues with them and am now having to get Consumer Council UK involved.

They even tried to cliam that when I returned a SmartyCam 3 that "...it was sent in a small box, no packaging, no protection, so everything was loose in the box..."

Luckily I took photos and kept receipts before sending.

See further details below:

Dear Consumer Council UK,

I hope this message finds you well.

I am writing to bring to your attention an unfortunate situation that has arisen with a product purchased from Aim Technologies. The item in question, a SmartyCam HD 3, was bought with the understanding that it would be compatible with our racing vehicle. However, we have experienced significant difficulties and it appears that the product was misrepresented and is not fit for purpose.

Under the Consumer Rights Act 2015, I understand that purchased goods should be of satisfactory quality, fit for purpose, and as described. It seems that in this case, my consumer rights have been breached due to the product's failure to match the given description.

Following the identification of these issues, we requested a refund, but Aim Technologies has not fulfilled this request. Despite our attempts to resolve the situation through troubleshooting and technical assistance, we were advised that the camera was not compatible with our vehicle.

Furthermore, we received information contradicting the condition in which the returned product was received, despite providing substantial protective packaging and maintaining photographic evidence of the package's condition before dispatch.

To give you a more comprehensive understanding, I am providing a detailed timeline of our communication with Aim Sport Technologies and the issues we encountered:

* 24th May 2023: Initial interaction with Aim Technologies where I was advised to purchase the SmartyCam HD 3, as it would meet our requirements.

* 25th May 2023: First noticed the camera's failure to function as expected, despite troubleshooting efforts by our team and the GB4 Championship technical assistant.

* 28th May 2023: Emailed Aim Technologies to report the issues we were facing with the camera.

* 31st May 2023: After troubleshooting with Aim Technologies' Tech Support, they acknowledged the discrepancy between what the sales representative described and the actual product capabilities. A refund was requested and initiated via their online form.

* 13th June 2023: Camera unit shipped back to Aim Sport Technologies through Royal Mail, ensuring its secure delivery. Notification of shipment and receipt copy sent to Aim Technologies.

* 25th June 2023: Followed up on the refund's status, expressing disappointment in the customer service experience.

* 26th June 2023: Received a communication from Aim Technologies suggesting the returned item was in poor condition and offering no information regarding the refund.

Currently, we are seeking a full refund for the camera, as it did not function as described by Aim Technologies' representative on 24th May 2023. Moreover, we are considering our options to cover potential damages arising from our driver contemplating a partial refund of our services for the 2023 GB4 Championship event at Donington Park due to the faulty product. His vehicle also did not meet the championship regulations due to this camera fault.

Your assistance in this matter is urgently required, and we sincerely hope that with your intervention, a satisfactory resolution can be achieved. I look forward to your response and any advice you might be able to provide.

Thank you for your time and attention to this matter.

Sincerely,

Joshua Evans
Director

Outstanding service and customer care, real race people! We had some drama with our AIM dash we caused in house, called them and they fixed it within seconds, but then spent an hour on the phone and remote on our laptop teaching us how to set up and change parameters!! Outstanding!! We did not even ask.... He just did it! 10000% recommend

SCAMERS, i have no other words. I have sent my mychron and expansion for temp indicator suddenly dissapear, the expansion was unrepairable they said, so a 300e device get broken and they are not able to change a component in the printed circuit board? what kind of repair service is that?
Okay, the MYCHRON 5s 2t send due temp display suddenly dissapear arrived with broken screen, and button... okay, that strange it was good packaged bit it can be, no problem. Okay i ask for some pictures as is normal and sadly they dont have the box, becouse they say it was good condition, so i cant claim to the transport agency so now the cost goes too high that it doesnt worth to repair it, (they dont do any efffort to repair, they just replace parts very expensively, we know how inflated are their product, sensors, cables etc), so they offer me another device for 250 pounds becouse the repairs were too expensive... so if the box was good how the devive receive the damage? maybe it fall in their facilities who knows but come on, is a repair company they should make some pictures with the box, also know previously that they damage mentioned is only the temp indicator!...

Okay, i tell them i will pay, fix it and give me, its been many days for this, they reply once very 2-3 days, thata ridiculous nowdays.
1 week more and then i receive a letter from Spanish cuatoms, i have to pay 110e becouse they cant prove that it wasnt mine, and then it is a importation... unless i show the "Dua and bill" Okay i ask AIM for it, and they dont know what is that, and they help 0, no interest, so i had to pay 110 euros extra.
Resuming, for a well known fail of the temp indication i had to pay around 360 euros and it took 1 month... fantastic!

Apart of that case, this is what i have experienced about the brand itself:
Devices with prehistoric hardware that breaks suddenly, i have many friends with mychron, thats how they make money, unstable sofware, user support quite poor, they seem to answer hardly and poor explanations with limited information, they guys seem to be old man kind of answer, hard to understand and closed answers, hardware like cables created on purpose to have the minimun compatibility between others, so you have to pay a fortune each stwp that you want to achieve, also few more things but i will need too many characters for it, just have a look to the fake comments.
GUYS run away before you start with this brand, GO TO ALFANO.

Just had an excellent experience with Frank Clarke who patiently sorted out my AiM shift module in my Lotus Exige. Frank was incredibly helpful and he managed to find a work around for all the challenges that crept up. Thank you very much Frank for all your superb support

Cannot do enough to help. Can be a complex process ascertaining what you need, especially as I had an older (non ECU) vehicle. Hugely helpful both in obtaining the right kit as well as fitting and configuration. Huge Thanks Frank and Josh T
