Be aware when dealing with this company.
Quite a poor customer experience with Aim Technologies. I have had multple issues with them and am now having to get Consumer Council UK involved.
They even tried to cliam that when I returned a SmartyCam 3 that "...it was sent in a small box, no packaging, no protection, so everything was loose in the box..."
Luckily I took photos and kept receipts before sending.

Dear Consumer Council UK,
I hope this message finds you well.
I am writing to bring to your attention an unfortunate situation that has arisen with a product purchased from Aim Technologies. The item in question, a SmartyCam HD 3, was bought with the understanding that it would be compatible with our racing vehicle. However, we have experienced significant difficulties and it appears that the product was misrepresented and is not fit for purpose.
Under the Consumer Rights Act 2015, I understand that purchased goods should be of satisfactory quality, fit for purpose, and as described. It seems that in this case, my consumer rights have been breached due to the product's failure to match the given description.
Following the identification of these issues, we requested a refund, but Aim Technologies has not fulfilled this request. Despite our attempts to resolve the situation through troubleshooting and technical assistance, we were advised that the camera was not compatible with our vehicle.
Furthermore, we received information contradicting the condition in which the returned product was received, despite providing substantial protective packaging and maintaining photographic evidence of the package's condition before dispatch.
To give you a more comprehensive understanding, I am providing a detailed timeline of our communication with Aim Sport Technologies and the issues we encountered:
* 24th May 2023: Initial interaction with Aim Technologies where I was advised to purchase the SmartyCam HD 3, as it would meet our requirements.
* 25th May 2023: First noticed the camera's failure to function as expected, despite troubleshooting efforts by our team and the GB4 Championship technical assistant.
* 28th May 2023: Emailed Aim Technologies to report the issues we were facing with the camera.
* 31st May 2023: After troubleshooting with Aim Technologies' Tech Support, they acknowledged the discrepancy between what the sales representative described and the actual product capabilities. A refund was requested and initiated via their online form.
* 13th June 2023: Camera unit shipped back to Aim Sport Technologies through Royal Mail, ensuring its secure delivery. Notification of shipment and receipt copy sent to Aim Technologies.
* 25th June 2023: Followed up on the refund's status, expressing disappointment in the customer service experience.
* 26th June 2023: Received a communication from Aim Technologies suggesting the returned item was in poor condition and offering no information regarding the refund.
Currently, we are seeking a full refund for the camera, as it did not function as described by Aim Technologies' representative on 24th May 2023. Moreover, we are considering our options to cover potential damages arising from our driver contemplating a partial refund of our services for the 2023 GB4 Championship event at Donington Park due to the faulty product. His vehicle also did not meet the championship regulations due to this camera fault.
Your assistance in this matter is urgently required, and we sincerely hope that with your intervention, a satisfactory resolution can be achieved. I look forward to your response and any advice you might be able to provide.
Thank you for your time and attention to this matter.
Sincerely,
Joshua Evans
