Very honest and forthcoming regarding the expected wait time when we got there, appreciate the truth rather than just telling us "oh it'll only be 5 minutes".

We had children with us and they liked sherry then really well with colouring in activities.

General service, and the food, absolutely spot on!! Friendly staff. The presentation and the quality of food (both in terms of actual quality, and taste) left nothing to be desired.

Will definitely be returning, thank you for an enjoyable experience.

I ordered via deliveroo and I was very impressed with the food!
I ordered a steak sandwich which I highly recommend, it was beautiful 😍

The full English was very good too- the sausages were herbed chicken sausages which i wasn’t a big fan of but it was cooked perfectly. I would have just pref plain chicken sausages 😅

I must also comment on how the food is well packaged too! Especially the drinks. No body wants a spilled drink for breakfast 🤪

Finally- a local business that does not support gen#cide always gets a 10/10 from me. Thank you ❤️

Very Disappointed After Years of Loyalty
We’ve been loyal customers of this café for over two years, travelling all the way from Bradford just to enjoy breakfast here. Despite the long drive and often waiting 45 minutes to an hour outside, we never minded — the food and experience were always worth it.

However, our recent visit left us very disappointed. I ordered the smashed avocado toast, which is priced at £12 — not cheap, but we've always been happy to pay for the quality we've received in the past. Unfortunately, this time was completely different.

The portion was shockingly small: one very thin slice of toast with a minimal amount of avocado barely spread across it, a tiny egg, and a few cherry tomatoes. It looked nothing like what we’ve been served before. The hummus — which is listed on the menu — was less than a teaspoon and spread thinly on the plate. There was no salad or garnish, which was usually part of the dish. Presentation was poor and it felt like a rushed job with no attention to detail.

I raised my concerns with the waiter and asked whether the portion sizes had been reduced. His explanation didn’t make much sense, and when I asked if he thought it was fair to charge £12 for what I received, he had no answer and said he would speak to the manager.

The scrambled egg I requested was undercooked and had to be sent back. Overall, it felt like the kitchen was just rushing food out without care or consistency.

The manager did offer us a small discount on the final bill, which we appreciated — but even after that, we still paid £25 for two very bare minimum breakfasts.

This visit was a huge letdown. We’ve always loved this café, but based on this experience, we’ve decided we won’t be returning. It's incredibly disappointing to see such a drop in quality and value.

Went here because we wanted a luxurious sweet brunch. We arrived around 12pm on a Thursday and there were no seats upstairs so we were sat in quite a dark corner downstairs beside the kitchen. The coffee was outstanding the mocha was really nice and chocolatey and the cappuccino was delicious. The food was good but I ordered the Shakshouka and it was very dry, there was no tomato sauce to dip the sourdough into and it was mostly just large chunks of relatively undercooked pepper. The poached egg in the middle was also rock solid which I have attached a photo of. The chicken sausages delivered however and seemed high quality. The French toasts were absolutely delicious, but be prepared for sugar overload, the toppings are extremely sweet but the toast itself is also really heavy in sugar. I felt like there could have been more of a balance by making the French toast a little less sweet, it was hard to finish the whole plate. We had one child with us who just wanted plain toasted bread which the restaurant did not have any left, and she didn't like the sourdough so it was a bit of a shame. Quite early to be calling an 86 on an essential item of a breakfast spot!

I’ve been coming here for years, but had the steak and avocado for the first time earlier this week, it was so good I came back today to have it again!

The steak was cooked to perfection, and the avocado added such a fresh, zesty, creamy touch—absolutely delicious.

the food was absolutely jaw dropping. the presentation was amazing and neat, very well designed😍. the lotus biscoff croffle was absolutely banging and if you come here, i would definitely recommend this and the service was amazing aswell, everyone was kind and helpful. loved the food, service and atmosphere.

I’ve visited Caramellos twice now as it’s a great place to catch up with friends & family and the food is outstanding. It’s clearly a popular place as there was a queue outside by midday yet the service was quick and staff really helpful and polite. The biscoff pancakes are the best I’ve ever eaten - perfectly presented and great portion size. The drink selection is also very good with lots healthy options. I had a matcha latte and you could instantly taste the difference in quality between theirs and a high street barista matcha - highly recommend!
