The poorest experience.
I wanted to sell my laptop so I went to the store. My charger is in a horrible state so I asked if that will be an issue and the sales person didn’t say it would. They said they can bank transfer me the money within a day if all is well with the test. A week later I had heard nothing so I emailed(you can’t call?) customer service was quick and said that my laptop failed because of the state of my charger…and that I had 14 days to come and pick up my device. Ridiculous as they literally saw the charger and could have said no we can’t take that which would have been absolutely fine. I then go all the way back there. They give me my laptop without the case I gave it to them with. I ask they say are you sure and then proceed to watch security tapes for 10 minutes trying to either see if I’m making it up or where they put it. After that they came up to me and said “we can’t find it” and shrug their shoulders. No offer of compensation no nothing. I just gave up because I saw that there was no point but honestly what a waste of (a lot of)time!!

First 1 star review I’ve ever left, most infuriating experience where all the staff had a miserable face and managers left the poor new lad (the only polite and helpful one) to deal with my enquiry, understandably out of depth for someone who’s new, but none of them jumped in to help him.

Every time something came up the new starter was unaware of, he’d ask his manager for help to be met with a snappy and rude response.

I signalled another staff member to come over, he knew the answer to my query, if someone would have just helped him, could have shaved a lot of time off and helped him learn, but no.

My query was left unresolved.

Shouldn’t have to beg to get help, and more so, have some respect on the new lad and help him! So jarring.

Went into a cex for the first time in about a decade n never again. Soon as I walked in it stunk of b.o no I’m not lying, I could deal with that. So picked out some wii games for my daughter to be in a two person queue for ten minutes. Because your workers are lazy as anything the 2 people in there only one was serving the other one was just standing there saying they haven’t got enough staff So one person dealing with customers, n the guy wanted to trade in stuff so she was taking ages. So the person in front said to her hurry up or we’re going so the one worker served him n left us n said she’s gunna be 10-20 minutes while your other worker stands there behind the counter on her phone completely uninterested in serving anybody. So after that I put the games back n walked out with a crying kid. Who has 10-20 minutes to wait with a 3 year old I’m genuinely suprised your still open with the absolute lack of customer service n rip off prices I’m sure it won’t be long before your long forgotten like gamestation 👍

I had a frustrating experience with the Click-and-Collect service. After ordering a Canon battery, I travelled from Slough to pick it up, only to find the item missing; why don't they offer a service where can call the store or message them before ordering?

Tried to trade in a PS4 I wiped earlier today and was confident it was in good condition. I waited an hour and a half to be told the power button supposedly didn't work and when I challenged this I just got handed the PS4 back with little attempt to try again. Once I got home it turned on using said power button.. unimpressed to say the least.

Had a problem with the charging port of a samsung s23 I bought online. Took it here and they gave me a refund to my bank account with no hassle.
