I rarely write reviews, certainly not negative ones, but I feel obliged to say something about the door we had installed by Doux of London. The door in question is a fire door between our utility room and our garage and it was installed four years ago. £2000 (inc VAT) should, I’d have thought, secured decent materials and craftsmanship. It seems not. Every winter, the door swells so much it jams solid. I have to shave yet more off it so that it can at least provide access, albeit with difficulty. Also, the locking mechanism has been loose from installation and falls on the door when the door is shut. The whole point of a fire door is that it is not only secure but also easily accessible, not least when there’s a fire. Doux of London did send someone to deal with the problem but the low quality of the door defeated even him. Not impressed.

I called Doux of London out to Windsor for a small job. Fixing the alignment of my window which was not shutting properly and was letting in a draft. Booking them only with one days notice, I wasn't sure they would want to come out as far as Windsor for a very small job. They came and within 30mins the window was fixed. Highly recommend this team for all jobs, small or big. Very professional and instantly makes you feel at ease. Will definitely be using them again.

Having used the firm many times before, I invited Doux of London to quote for two bespoke wardrobes and redecoration in my period cottage. The standard of work was impeccable as I knew it would be. Karl gave me a firm price and start date, carried out the work promptly and left the property tidy once finished. The wardrobes are sturdy and elegant, and fit in perfectly with the character of the house. Karl is upbeat, energetic, hard-working and courteous. I have no hesitation in recommending him and his firm for any joinery and decorating project.

Excellent service from start to finish. We used them for painting, wallpapering and some bespoke carpentry work in our new home and could not be happier with the outcome, reasonably priced too. Definitely recommend them.
