We found grant to be very professional, knowledgeable not just on technical aspects of architecture but also had a great frame work of relevant peripheral knowledge. He was able to come up with some very creative solutions which we wouldn't have done ourselves and his knowledge of planning is better than most planning officers. Quite rare you can have an end to end conversation with any architect so yes, would thoroughly recommend .

Engaged Grant Erksine Architects for Pre - Purchase Consultancy Services. Grant was professional, informed, he provided thorough explanations and had a great eye for detail - he has a great eye for design and how to execute what we wanted and was able to inform what we could not progress and why (from an architect/building perspective). Grant was able to provide a rough idea of costs, what would require planning and completed a number of searches after the visit to further ascertain viability.

This was our first time using an Architect at pre purchase stage - and its definitely the best option for pucrhasing a home where works are required and ascertaining the appropriate level of work.
