If this is what you call a lawyer then sign me up for a job! I had a crash nearly 3 years ago and it's been settled today. They told me 15 days ago that the third party had put in a 50/50 fault request, if I was to decline the date for court was set for tomorrow. I immediately got back saying that was fine and court wouldn't be necessary. They got back at half 9 this morning saying it had all gone through.

If you want lawyers, go elsewhere. There is every chance these are first year students at Salford uni.

Since they replied to this stating they couldn't find a case for me it shows how useless they are. Unless they're doing it as a "fake review because we don't know who you are" thing. They've done the same to a lot of people's reviews. So here's the case reference number for you 148051/46154

I am seasoned senior professional. I have seen it all in my fifty-four years. Yet I am still shocked by the rampant levels of decline within the UK that is ever more visible. And this diabolical company - Horwich Farrelly - is just another example of that decline. Tesco Bank is my insurer and it is equal culpable. This lot are incompetent, unethical, unprofessional and unapologetic. I have reported both contractual and legal breaches these organisations are guilty of to the Financial Conduct Authority and the Legal Ombudsman. And of course, I have similarly no confidence in either of those.

Welcome to the United Kingdom.

Are you proud of your reviews? How can a company who handles motor claims for large motor insurers be operating in such a poor way? This needs investigating further with the SRA. My claim has been ongoing for a long period of time with no updates, no communication, no progression. I can see now from the reviews below how it will likely end….! I’ll be escalating this now to all avenues. But for everyone else - DO NOT USE!

worse experience ever, involved in car incident- claim went through via Hastings Direct and dealt with at Horwich Farrelly. I spoke to someone at Horwich Farrelly solicitors twice- 8 months apart, was given conflicting advice. was not given my voluntary excess when it was no fault claim, they closed my case and now will not take an action to help me get my money back.

Absolutely appalling. Admiral, who themselves are a disgrace, past my claim for a no fault accident to these so called solicitors. After six months they then contacted me for the information I gave to admiral a year earlier. I sent them this four months ago and have heard nothing. They don’t respond to emails or telephone calls. My accident happened two years ago, through no fault of my own. My premiums have gone up for two years as the insurance industry are allowed a ‘guilty until proven innocent’ approach. I am referring these solicitors to whatever complaint process I am allowed too refer to.

Do you ever reply to emails? AWFUL company. Was promised in December a 40% refund on the excess I paid for an accident 3 years ago. Was told it’d be around 8 weeks. I’ve emailed recently & as like before, you never reply to emails. No insurance company should use you, you are shocking & the reviews here show that.

My Partners car was hit whilst parked by another vehicle. Partner wasn't in the vehicle so was cut and dry with pics and CCTV provided to insurance company. Claim was just for the insurance excess. This company took on the legal chase as the driver disputed the damage caused. My partner got a few updates in first few months then went silent. The incident happend in July 2022. Only today 2nd Feb 2025 we have heard that the claim has been settled and will be receiving the excess paid. The insurance company's that appoint this company need to look at the contract agreement as they have such poor communication with their clients. I will expect the corporate reply sorry we can't seem to find your case and sorry to hear of your experience. Please be aware if pursuing a claim ask what company your insurance company use and ask for another one and not these unfortunately

1 star and they don’t deserve that.

Absolutely terrible. Appointed by my insurer for what should have been a simple case. Everything they needed to win handed to them on a plate and because they were to cheap and lazy to send a questionnaire by post as agreed, they completely failed to submit said evidence on time and instead had the audacity to blame and threaten me.
In true lawyer style they have shown themselves to be nothing more than ambulance chasers and judging by what I have witnessed they wouldn’t be much good at that. Nothing more than parasites.

Has anybody else noticed how all the replies are pretty much a copy and paste. We can’t find a case under your name. We pride ourselves on our professionalism. Please get in touch, blah blah blah.
