Terrible Experience, all caused by Danny the so-called “Director”.

I first emailed on the 28th of May and the initial contact seemed very promising.

Danny stated that his developers were in America and would inspect the code over the Jubilee bank holiday weekend and promised he would call me over the weekend when this was complete. This never happened.

I emailed on my return from the bank holiday, asking for an update, as Danny never called as he promised.

I explained the work required and Danny provided me with an estimated price for completing the project. This sounded reasonable and I asked for a breakdown/invoice, as my accounts team was on standby to pay the 50% deposit to get the project rolling.

I queried one of the points which I was unsure about and asked for some further information regarding the coding requirements, so we had an understanding of the work being completed. This is where the relationship broke down.

Danny opted to be difficult for no reason, refusing to provide the breakdown.

When I questioned this, Danny then stated “it’s impossible to provide further information until we inspect the code”

To which, I responded, “surely you have already inspected the code and have an idea of the requirements, otherwise you’d not give an estimated price”.

Upon checking the activity log, I could then see that Danny had lied and failed to deliver on his promises. He hadn’t inspected the site or code to understand the task, nor how much work would be required to complete the task. To top it off, he hadn’t even logged into our site.

After a month of back and forth with false promises and failed to deliver, Danny then told us to take the project elsewhere.

This is extremely unprofessional and quite frankly, very shady.

I asked for an alternative representative to manage our project, which was outright refused. The receptionist stated, “It’s Danny’s company so you need to deal with him”.

Danny promised that he would call me at 6 pm 17th June to discuss the matter. Again, this was another lie / false promise, as this call never happened.

After constant hassle and a month of going back and forth, I will happily take the project to an alternative company, as Danny and his team clearly cannot be trusted. If they become increasingly difficult and refuse to provide an explanation of the work, it would indicate that they are trying to hide something.

Horrible experience and a complete waste of 1 month.

Don’t waste your time with these people, go directly to a more reputable agency.
