I don't use any of the office facilities but as someone who goes to the cafe quite regularly, some of the staff are quite rude and dismissive when I stay to chat. I always feel like I'm not welcome both in the cafe and the innovation centre. Also, Penny (the receptionist) needs to learn to be a better ally to trans people. She has misgendered me quite a few times despite me saying that I'm non-binary and not a woman. She has also made inappropriate comments about my weight and asked questions about my personal life, which is overstepping

I've only used the cafe. The food is y7mmy and coffee hot and strong. Unusual cold drink options but I like being forced out of my habits.
Staff are always super friendly and helpful.

A fantastic facility for companies in Colchester. The staff are very helpful and supportive for many business needs - much more than an office space provider. It has a nice cafe downstairs for quick meetings and access to additional facilities at the University of Essex.

The space is fantastic, prices are very reasonable and the sense of community you get with other office users is fantastic. The guys in charge put on a lot of great events for networking and just having fun. The girls that run the building are amazing and always put a smile on your face

The Innovation Centre in Colchester is unique. You are provided with full and ongoing support for your business which can include both personal and professional development. The management and reception team could not be more friendly and helpful and when you join you become part of an extended family where you will meet hard working and like minded people who will inspire you. There are lots of events and opportunities to grow your network and you will regularly meet your neighbours and interact with new people. This place is amazing!
We rent an office in this shared collaborative working environment, which to be honest makes you feel like you're working at Google. It has everything you need like meeting rooms, breakout areas and just great facilities (then add in a pool table, table tennis, walking desks, a great cafe etc).

And those aren't the best things about the centre; it's actually its team. Georgina and her team are fantastic and they have created a great community for all of the businesses. They are always there for you and will do everything they can to help.

If they are the heart and soul of the centre then the business support there is the head and mind that helps the drive and ambition you have for your business. In an open and safe environment, they have initiatives like the Founders Forum and GrowthMapper. Both of which have helped our company with better perspectives and more insights than we have had before. Add in seminars, speakers, access to funding organisations etc and business owners, leaders and teams are not alone here.

Oh and I didn't mention that all of the above is already included within your normal rent.
