The airport is clean, staff are friendly and the duty free is fantastic!!! They always have promotions on and good gifts.
We always book into the lounge, the selection of food is not a lot but it is always fresh. The bar is amazinggggggg, they have endless, premium alcohol and mixers. The staff in the lounge are very professional and extremely attentive, I couldn't fault anything.

It’s a nice airport but some of the works are not friendly at all. It’s long so make sure you do not wait around or you can miss your flight. Terminals are about a 15 minute walk. Shopping is easy as you walk through it to go to the terminals but for food not a lot of options and the security can be over the top when asking for help. Coming in they have a lot of options to get you home and when leaving I would go around 3 and a half hours early for international flights because they will take late flights ahead and it can make you late.

Check-in, security and boarding all a breeze. The new security scanners meant no need to empty bags making the process very quick. There are also good shopping and food offers. We were called to our gate and immediately boarded. A stress free experience from start to finish.

This is a very convenient airport which provides international connections to Europe and beyond. It’s neither too small nor too big . Emirates is a flagship airline for long distance flights from this airport that allows multiple connections. The airport has many shops and places to sit and eat and needless to mention the duty free shops which are in plenty

London Gatwick airport has two terminals.. North and South terminal.
Both has short stay, long stay parking and pick up and drop off areas.
South terminal shortstay has three areas- orange, red and ?green; no prebooking needed.. I had been to red and it was pretty near to the terminal.

This is regarding the train station at Gatwick.
If this isn't one of the worst, most poorly designed stations in the country, I'd hate to see what is. Out of seven platforms, the toilets are only found on platform 1. There are many avian carcasses (mainly pigeons) on all the tracks & the excrement of said bird are piled high where they roosted when they were living. Needless to say, it smells great during hot summer days. The resultant excretions from whatever they once ate are also on the platforms, so be careful where you stand!
If it's raining - there are leaks a plenty....bubbling out of blocked pipes & over the floor, down walls & not all the station is under cover, so on busy days during the rain, everyone is congregated where there's shelter from the precipitation.
Platforms are also not wide enough for the amount of people that use the station when busy & the overall look of the place is tired, dated & needs a lot to bring it kicking & screaming into the 21st century.
There's more I could add, but I need a coffee & something to eat.....
