Staying Put

I completed the Leadership & Management Level 3 Team Leader Apprenticeship. My Skill coach Margaret was great, she was supportive and provided good feedback. Margret was great at accommodating my end point assessment to a day that was convenient for me.

The only thing I would suggest is that during the first session with my coach if it was made clearer what course works will need to be done and when it would need to be submitted by would have improved my training experience.

The lessons were half a day and spread out so it was manageable with my workload. The sessions helped build my skills as a leader and better equip me to fulfil my role as a lead. It has instilled the confidence in me to do my job.

Course leader Laurie was incredibly engaging, personable and knowledgeable. I would have preferred a more challenging course content, as some of the sessions felt a little repetitive. Use of 'break-out rooms' was sometimes good, and kept us all engaged. However I did feel that more time could have been allocated to new learning rather than taking up time with so many of the break-out rooms.

I learnt with Nine Dots and I cant really complain about it. Teachers were brilliant especially Wendy. I took a break in learning as I went on maternity half way through the course and they were really accommodating to that. Lots of help and support through it and all the information was really useful. I now use it in my job. It is fairly lengthy and covers every aspect of jobs which sometimes might not have anything to do with your job, but still worth doing to become a good manager.

I have completed NVQ Level 5 Operations Management course. There were initial hiccups but 9 Dots have resolved them very swiftly having listened to learners feedback. The course itself was fantastic, the content was engaging and tutors informative, knowledgeable and enthusiastic. My coach Stu has been brilliant. Supported me all the way. He believed in me when I didn't believe in myself. Five stars!

Speaking for myself. I found that over the four week course, i became much more aware of how i interact with people. And more importantly, that there are lots of different approaches to solving the challenges we face during our day to day duties.

It is my hope that this new found awareness will lead to an improvement in my own management style where i am able to build long lasting work relationships with all my work colleagues.
