Have all in one desktop - screen brightness too low for editing photos properly even with controls at maximum - eventually improved after calibrating colours in MS 11 but not perfect. Although Portus responded they did not seem concerned and I spent hours trying for a solution myself before finding the Colour calibration solution.

Just bought two gaming monitors I have to say although they never replied to my email about delivery (it was a generic reply) they shipped within 10 working days, items arrived in good condition all working quite happy the only bad thing is they sort of lack the personal touch but that's my opinion. Especially when you are spending nearly a thousand pounds 💷. At the end of the day items arrived when stated they would and they were in perfect condition brand new well packaged 8 out of 10 from me 👍🏻 everything arrived with UK plugs also

I bought an Olympus OM-D EM-1 Mk2 from Portus Digital, including a 12-40mm f/2.8 PRO and a 40-150mm f/2.8 PRO for many hundreds of £ cheaper than usual. The kit even came with the MC-14 1.4x teleconverter for the 40-150mm lens which retails alone for about £200.

I had my reservations before purchase as I’d never heard of Portus Digital before and read a few negative reviews as well as positive ones, so I contacted them a number of times.

The company never failed to quickly answer my questions openly and honestly. They’re UK based and offer their own extensive warranty on everything they sell.

Interestingly, some of the online reviews compared them unfavourably to another deep-discount camera retailer called H.Dew, who I used regularly many years ago when they still had a traditional retail shop in Wallington, South London. But I noticed that H.Dew and Portus Digital shared the same business address in Hackbridge, South London (very close to Wallington) and Portus then confirmed to me that they and H.Dew are under common ownership. That sealed the deal for me as I always had exemplary service from H. Dew so was confident I could trust Portus Digital.

Delivery is not as fast as the expensive retailers and took ten days, but I knew that at the time of purchase and the wait saved me about £550, so was no big deal. The equipment arrived one day earlier than promised and was to full UK-specification. The savings allowed me to buy an additional genuine Olympus battery, two ultra high-speed 128GB SDXC cards and two lens protection filters, plus a copy of Lightroom and still left more than enough spare change to buy comprehensive insurance on the equipment.

All of the equipment came with official serial numbers which I was able to register with Olympus UK to benefit from their own 2 year warranty (in parallel to the Portus Digital warranty).

I’m delighted with the polite and professional service I’ve had from Portus Digital and would not hesitate to buy from them again.

I have used this company several times and each time I have been fully satisfied. I wish every company had the level of customer service these have, I feel they go above and beyond the average company to make the customer satisfied being so friendly and helpful! I’ve bought 2 Nikon bodies and 2 Nikon lens from them so far. All round brilliant service, I’m sure I’ll be back in the future!

Ordered my new EOS 6Dmk2 late last Friday, so no action possible until Monday morning. Yet, like magic, it arrived mid-morning Thursday. Could have got one two days sooner. Could have paid £500 more for it!! This was my 3rd major purchase from Portus and it won't be the last.

I was shocked by their lack of interest in a possible £2000 sale. Instead they wasted my time after thinking its unreasonable to want to talk with someone before handing over £2000. As It seems that the company has all of Christmas period off and only takes your money. But customer service is of "priority and utmost importance" when they excuse themselves. So because they don't offer credit I got myself a credit card to make the purchase. But as Is standard the credit card has a maximum limit of £2000. So 3 weeks later and after making calls, emails and requests. I was told canon set portus digitals prices and they couldn't possibly do any deal on a £2179 camera. Instead they refer you to their rivals even giving you their links to click on.
My interaction with them has only proven that they are only their to take money even when other retailers are working hard for any profits, they do not value returning customers nor do they have any idea about sales. Otherwise they wouldn't be sending you to the competitors. I am shocked how some faceless internet companies actually survive. These products are grey imported goods that somehow have a tax avoidance scheme attached to them. Possibly illegaly but that's for HMCR to investigate. It truly saddened me to think that the NHS struggles while others prosper and 2 grand sterling is no longer valued in this country.
