Never having had building work on this scale done before, we were very apprehensive and expecting a lengthy planning process. We contacted Paul after a recommendation. The best move we made. Paul and his team were friendly and professional . Their ideas were excellent, taking ours and adding his own. The high quality renders and walk through option ensured we had an excellent idea of exactly what we were getting.
His knowledge of the local planning situation and the quality of his plans and explanations meant that our application was approved first time with no quibbles.
The plans provided to our builders have meant a very smooth build.

We chose to go with Profile Architects for our double garage conversion into an annex in Folkestone.

In short we are so happy with the decision to go with them.

This was our first ever big project where planning permission would be required and the garages were surrounded by neighbours on two sides and positioned on the road at the front so there were many complex challenges that required a team who knew the planning requirements.

We also had a very tight budget, even to the point where at the beginning I was not sure if we went for an architect firm that were too established.

Looking back we really had no idea what we could/couldn't achieve and in many ways the project would not have happened if it wasn't for Profile.

They created multiple designs, invited us to their studio where we virtually walked around the building. We changed the design multiple times but they were very accommodating, even working on the interact details of the design. They provided incredibly useful drawings, and even used a drone to ensure the pictures were perfect.

Profile Architects put us in contact with the structural engineer.

Profile Architects submitted the planning application on our behalf, and chased planning to ensure we received the approvals.

Once approved, they provided a list of potential building companies, which honestly I wouldn't have known of if I hadn't chosen them.

Once the builders started there has been multiple questions back to Paul and Oscar from Profile Architects and they have answered them swiftly.

Now I am aware of the number of issues that arise from a project I am so grateful we went with Profile Architects.

When looking for an architect, I chose Paul at Profile Architects as I loved the examples of projects that he had worked on, and also valued his past experience of working with my local council and understanding what their considerations would be. The project was turning a large workshop and shed into a viable C3 dwelling. I am a fan of tiny homes, and their creative use of space and Paul managed to take the existing footprint and create a fabulous small home, that met all the criteria for a C3 whilst also not requiring an entire rebuild. Not only was the design great, but Paul was fundamental in getting the project through planning, and kindly answering my questions and queries along the way. I would have no problem in recommending Profile Architects for your project.

We commissioned Paul and the PROFILE team to undertake the most challenging of residential projects - squeeze more floor area out of a two bedroom first floor apartment in London. The building is a converted 1880’s school with high ceilings and existing mezzanine level. Through Paul and his teams creativity, they proposed a new mezzanine deck forming a new bedroom that complimented the existing mezzanine level without impacting the ‘open feel’ of the living space. Paul was excellent at dealing with all Building Control issues (including fire separation and clear head height issues that both had the potential to be show stoppers). The 3D renders produced by the PROFILE team helped us picture the possibilities while also assisting the Contractor team to understand what was required and accurately cost the works. The construction works went smoothly (and to budget!) which was testament to the detail produced by the PROFILE team. We now have a 3 bed apartment which has certainly added space for the family to grow and value to the property - we couldn’t be happier. Thank you PROFILE!

Paul & Annabel offer a fantastic, professional, friendly and thorough service. They fully understood our brief and were happy to make tweaks and adjustments throughout the design process. The VR capability really brought the project to life and it was so exciting to get a feel for the space at such an early stage in the process. PROFILE managed the planning application seamlessly and, with this being our first build, also guided us on all other third parties we needed to bring in. Paul also made himself available once the build work had started on the couple of occasions we needed to consult regarding the plans. Our builders - and others we spoke to during the tender process - reassured us that PROFILE’s plans are always clear, detailed and accurate, meaning minimal need for input from the architects once the project is handed over to the construction team. And that has certainly been the case.

We have contacted Profile Architects to help us formalise a kitchen extension idea which had been brewing in our minds for a few years. With no experience with the matter, it was difficult for us to get this project off the ground.
