Great university. People are kind and the local town has just about everything you need. Nightlife is also great with a club on campus or in the nearby town depending on how you’re feeling. The lake is also a great place to just sit and relax in the sun.

The campus is beautiful and well maintained, with plenty of green spaces to relax and study. The facilities are also top-notch, including modern libraries, labs, and sports facilities.

The academic staff are highly experienced and passionate about their subjects, and they are always willing to help students. The campus is large and scenic. It has a mix of modern buildings and natural greenery outside- there is a large pond full of ducks which I find wholesome to see. Plus the Geodesic Sphere was lovely to spot too. I came to Surrey during my registration day, and visiting the campus for the first time seemed daunting at first but actually isn't so bad once you know where you're going. I've heard many positive comments about the teaching standards at Surrey, and the employability opportunities are very high across the UK. Plus commuting to Surrey from London is easier than I thought despite the far distance.

However I will say some stairs outside but near the Lewis Carroll Building we're slippery and narrower than I thought, so hold on the railing if you can! There are lots of stairs around the campus, and in buildings, yet some are narrow and slippery... this could be not ideal if you're on a rush to lectures- especially if the stairs are congested and elevators are full.

Also be prepared for a lot of walking if you don't have a bike/vehicle and if you live outside the campus accommodation. I was very much exhausted going from the Lewis Carroll Building and to the Duke of Kent Building, personally, but that's just me personally (especially since I commute from outside of Surrey anyway).

Then again they do have Stagecoach buses on the campus which can solve this issue. I just prefer walking, due to fresh air and I hate feeling claustrophobic 😂

University of Surrey is considered highly prestigious. It is ranked among the top 50 universities nationally by Complete University Guide in the latest rankings. If you're looking to get admission, make sure to apply with a strong application. Hearing a lot about them in research papers.
Experienced faculty, employability, student experience, and student satisfaction are main reasons for considering this uni. We met with some of the students who honestly spoke highly about living and studying here. Great clean airy accommodation in Band C & D (mid range bands) didn’t get to see bands A, B (lower) or E , F (higher, studios ) so can’t comment. It has over 5,000 rooms along with secure, comfortable, sociable, and affordable accommodation.
Parking available for visitors and students. Easy access to the Guildford.
They have couple of grocery stores, post office, GP, well being centre, game room , outdoor gym, couple of laundrettes , bars and bank inside the campus.
Visited a few departments, teachers were very enthusiastic and helpful and answered all our questions.
Their former name is Battersea Polytechnic Institute (1891–1956) then Battersea College of Technology (1956–1966) and they are public research university. It was established in 1966 (gained university status). They have academic affiliations with Association of MBAs, ACU EUA, SETsquared UGPN Universities UK.
They have a huge library with hundreds and thousands of books in the building and millions online. They also have computers and silent study rooms.

Nice campus, isolated from the town, that is well maintained and clean. The lake side is beautiful and peaceful. Some of the buildings are new and some have a modern look, although there are some old and "in need for modernisation" buildings in the centre. Plenty of cafe and other such facilities.

Such a bad university. I did a degree in nursing and the lack of support I had from the lecturers and my own personal tutor was horrendous. Going through a loss in my family I was then removed off my course after failing an assignment throughout this time. I was completely dropped with no further support. Do not recommend whatsoever.
