I very foolishly locked my keys in the boot of my car, and had to call My Car Key Hero to help send someone out to unlock the car for me. The chap they sent is from We’ve Got the Key and he was wonderful! I wish I got his name but he phoned to let me know when he was on the way and confirmed my location in a Liverpool multi storey car park, he arrived really quickly, and he got the car open within minutes so I could get my keys out and head home to London safely. He was really friendly and I could not recommend this company more. Great stuff! (And cheaper than breaking a window!)

First impressions were brilliant. After sales customer support is not half as good as what their "on hold" telephone message states.

Had the fob for circa 9 months and it's stopped working. Now I cannot lock my car. I've tried locking it manually, but the key provided by this company does not fit me door lock on the car.

After spending an hour trying to get hold of them and get an answer, I was on hold for a total of 40 minutes, passed from one person to the next with the promise of answers from the next person I speak to.

Only to be told I need to wait for a call back from the Warranty Team who could take days to get back to me.

I asked if they could send somebody out to assess the situation but that's a no go from this company. My car needs to sit there unlocked and likely uninsured against theft until they decide to do something.

Edit:

I've spoken with the team today (12th March) who have explained that they do not have anybody available to look into this until 18th March.

Not only that, they need to look into whether a refund can be provided. I was promised that I'd have an answer today regarding two things:

• A Refund
• Whether a member of the team can commit to an hour overtime to help resolve this situation and come repair my key

To which I've not had any information about either.

I would highly recommend avoiding this company at all costs. £250 down the drain, unable to lock car, told them that I go on holiday this Saturday and they suggested I leave it somewhere they can access on the 18th. So somewhere public where anybody can break into it.

Lock on my trailer hitch failed on a Saturday evening at a hill climb event. I spoke with the RAC who got this company to contact me. The guy from the office excellent and arranged for their locksmith to meet me at the track the following morning. He arrived right on time and was a great and friendly guy who completed the task in 30 minutes and had me on my way.
Not cheap but worth it as it was the only solution, would highly recommend👍

Decent service but overcharged me nearly 90£

Toyota offered to have a new key for me made at 155£

My mechanic’s locksmith offered to do it at 145£

These guys did it for me at 189£

I asked them to book it in the morning and they booked it at nearly 4pm instead. Wasn’t a terrible experience but they aren’t my go to.

It’s cool that they offer payment via Klarna though

Should have done the job on Monday, that didn’t happen, eventually got it done Tuesday afternoon. Clearly the guys in the office are incompetent. Told over the phone it would cost £148 yet they took £205 from my bank( there word against mine)would I recommend them to a friend, definitely not

This company are crooks. Do not use under any circumstances.
They took advantage of my elderly mother, charged her 600 pounds for 2 keys last year. One of these did not work at all, and nither had a blades cut. We complained and they refused to fix or repair and blamed the car. They said they would refund 30 for the blades but didn't.

Got a the aa out to break into the car. (A landrover evoque) to take to a specalist to look at the electrics that this company had blamed. He recommended a local locksmith who came out in about half an hour and managed to fix one of the keys - it had a bent wire inside it - said it wasnt put together properly and the other one was a complete dud. He cut a blade too for it and said he would
do replacement keys with a blade for 90 quid, and that she had been taken advantage of. Nothing wrong with the car after all, but alot of faff and 600 pounds wasted by this company.
