Chigwell dump all sorts of rubbish in your back garden and at your front door. This has been reported to them over and over. They say they will collect it all for me to call back the following week to be told it's not their rubbish. The supervisor ignores my communication. Admittedly, I was very blunt with him, but I've lost my patience after all this time. What they've done is not acceptable.

The supervisor is called Jake. You have been named and shamed. Chigwell Group is not to be trusted!

Chigwell + Guinness = a match made in hell! If your landlord is Guinness and they’ve contracted Chigwell to complete work, don’t hold your breath. They use subcontractors for some or all of their work and because they refuse to provide the essential parts to the workers, the job does not get done. I’ve had open bathroom works approaching 4 weeks in a damp and mouldy infested property. I currently have a freestanding movable toilet with flush disabled and the house only has one. What is worse, they understand what needs doing, but it’s not being done and stretched over weeks because no one wants to pay for the parts. I certainly will never invest a penny in a Guinness property because they themselves do not maintain. I have an infant child at home and the attitude of both companies has been shameful. For anyone else that has the pleasure, you will only find recourse if you complain outside of them. Sham.

Sue is the worst customer service I’ve ever experienced in the UK, no real desire to organise things smoothly and very rude when I asking for more clarification. Repetitive appointments to come in for no apparent reasons - extremely vague communication on what work needs to be done. For whoever working from office this is nightmare, rebooking every a few weeks for something new coming up, and need to arrange the 4-days or 2-days schedule for them. The chaps that come granted they are hard working and clean up after themselves but generally very bad experience with admin especially the attitude.

One of the Chigwell Group Companies, Chigwell Window Centre, installed a set of Bi-fold doors for us. Excellent workmanship, a good price and installed on time. Couldn't have asked for more. We are getting them back to fit some patio doors for another project this year.

Review of Shepherds Bush Housing Group (SBHG) and Chigwell

Shepherds Bush Housing Group (SBHG) employs Chigwell to conduct their gas checks. Unfortunately, Chigwell often sends appointment letters but fails to show up for the scheduled appointments. Despite lodging complaints with SBHG, tenants receive eviction letters alleging non-cooperation with Chigwell. Moreover, SBHG and Chigwell threaten tenants with a £2000 charge for purportedly denying access.

This pattern of behavior is not only dishonest but also amounts to harassment and abuse of tenants. If you find yourself in this situation, it is crucial to report every instance when they fail to show up for a scheduled appointment. Additionally, you have the right to take legal action against them for harassment and defamation.

If you face similar issues, keeping a detailed record of all communications and missed appointments can help substantiate your claims in court.

My stepson had some bifold doors fitted by one of the Chigwell Groups companies. Excellent product and the team that fitted them were courteous, friendly and professional. He is delighted.

Chigwell Group joined my landlord to try intimidate and bully me out of our home while providing inaccurate and misleading information for the work order, happy to cut corners and carry out the wrong repairs required for my home. Dreadful company who put money before morals and integrity while having no respect for women.

Days off for no apparent reasons- vague communication to keep up appearances. The chaps that come granted they are hard working and clean up after themselves.
The company though- sort yourselves out because I’ve had the WORST experience with you. Kitchen works going on 4 weeks with no real desire to organise things smoothly!

I had a bad experience with this company. A low specification of work and malicious damage to my cooker. Driven by my harassing neighbours I stood no chance to get a good Spec of work done. Agne and Julius and Eric (who was ok to begin with looked at a message on his mobile and changed and just damaged the good work he did on my home). Someone who called himself Dom (he mumbled his name) and some of the labourers who acted on instruction ie Vanos were particularly bad.

Was racism involved well I could not possibly comment. Their skills however were good as work done on other premises that Wandle HA own was good. So only one star as they did not give me 5 Star treatment boxes of my property disappeared - to the harassing neighbor's property possibly I don't really know but they were in communication with him all the time. The neighbour even requested that both our properties be done at the same time, in hindsight I should have refused the upgrade from my HA. But they were not to know. Uggghhh! I would never recommend them. At the outset I did ask Chigwell for a diverse team reflecting the resident community and if not did any of them had equality and diversity training but the response was silent as at the time 2016 Operatives consisted mainly of Eastern European who used Russian or German to communicate as they were from all over Europe thus used these two languages as a common communication. I know which languages to learn English is not enough we have to respect new migration too. They have the skills but were not professional in treating all residents the same and they got involved in neighbour disputes driven by neighbour and the chigwell staff befriended by neighbour call in them "mate". I requested not to have Julius as supervisor but it didnt matter in fact made things worse as they them gang up against you and youre treated badly and the spec werent their best. Ironically the neighbour who lives to harass hates everything not British and complains about Eastern Europeans getting all the jobs in the meantime would not look for a job themselves.

The Country needs these people. That's sadly how life is sometimes. There are some great Operatives at Chigwell as one Senior Operative chastised operatives from Chigwell, laborers who were taking extra cupboards and stuff to the neighbour concerned after their works were done. So stealing from their employer .These same operatives do turn up at the said neighbour to buy....you know what ...obviously..to this day. I have posted this so that Chigwell CEO knows what is goin on in his company and make improvements as like I say if you get a good time who are skilled an work Professionally sole focusing on their work in hand then you have a good team. OK. Enough said about that for the moment.
