Everyone at Funktional Kitchens was friendly and very helpful and genuinely wanted to make sure we got the best kitchen within our budget. And that's what we got in the end. We are very pleased with the end result and the suggestions Vicky, Alison and Emma made during the design process. Equally importantly, Alison and Vicky were very understanding and proactive in sorting out an issue related to a kitchen appliance that developed a fault, clearly something completely outside of their control but they ensured we got a replacement delivered and installed in a timely fashion. This was a much better experience than I had expected. Vicky, the designer, was friendly and supportive, showing me possibilities that I hadn't known about and keeping in touch throughout the process. The work team were extremely reliable, arriving when they said they would and cleaning up after themselves. Even my strict concierge thoroughly approved of them! At the end, Vicky followed up by coming round to make sure everything was all right; she had helpful suggestions for how to store things more efficiently, and arranged for further tweaks where needed. The kitchen is not only beautiful but gives me a lot more storage space; everyone who sees it is impressed.

We renovated our kitchen last year. It was our first ever renovation and we had enquired with all the leading kitchen companies. We are very glad we went with Funktional Kitchens - Vicky and Alison had a very personal approach and seemed to really care about what we wanted. They also gave good recommendations based on their expertise when we got decision fatigue! They made the process straightforward, even aligning most of the installation to take place when we were on holiday to minimise disruption to us (we used their builder). We don't have a huge space but the team worked with us to create a great design, respecting our budget.

Very happy with our kitchen including the new built in appliances. It is now our favourite room in the flat! Thanks team!

I would highly recommend Funktional Kitchens. We just had a nightmare trying to find an integrated fridge freezer to fit the space of our old broken down one. We were so lucky when we finally discovered that Fisher and Paykel had the right one for us because Funktional Kitchens were able to supply it and Alison and the team were so helpful and efficient. Alison arranged for fitters to remove our old fridge and install the new one and it fits perfectly!

We had used Funktional in the past and decided to work with them again on our latest project- a kitchen and boot room (bar) refurb in a Norfolk barn conversion. Communication was clear, involved and bespoke throughout from design brief to completion. No detail was left overlooked and the team always remained a few steps ahead of us in our expectations; manoeuvring around manufacturing issues due to COVID expertly and with little fuss in striving to complete the entire project by Christmas (which they did!)

The finished kitchen is gorgeous, glossy and the installation guys were efficient and masterful! The additional bar area that we decided to put in is so bespoke and perfectly fitted that for such a tiny room, it comes in as one of our favourite rooms! We love both so much and our guests complimentary comments are enough to affirm to us that we chose the best guys for the job! x

I was looking for a company who had designers who have practice experience of using kitchen. I was so pleased to find Funktional Kitchens. 3 women designers who understood how a kitchen should work in practice. So happy with the end result. Some small hiccups along the way which were always sorted quickly. The kitchen did take a bit longer than I expected but it all came together in the end. The kitchen looks amazing & Alison & Emma made sure the end result was exactly what I asked for & more.

So good we’ve used them twice

One of the hardest things about leaving our old house in East London was leaving our Funktional kitchen. It was a very popular feature when showing buyers round, still looking brand new despite being several years old.

So it was an easy decision to pick Funktional Kitchens again for our new house. The team came up with a fantastic design that maximised the space available and brought in all of the features that we had loved in our old house. The installation process was wonderfully simple (we used Funktional’s own builder), and we were guided through options to find a kitchen design that was beautifully sympathetic to our historic central London home.

We have now lived in our kitchen for a few months and only wish that we had gone ahead sooner. It looks superb and ‘Funktions’ so well. Favourite features are the custom height work services for tall people, the mirrored splash back and the beautiful bookcases that were crafted to hide a boiler that couldn’t be moved. Oh, and my hidden under the stairs laundry room. I am delighted that we went with Funktional again.
