Smartsearch's facial recognition system for checking identity seems to forget that some older people may not know how to upload selfies or submit document images from their mobile phone and that some older people do not even have a mobile phone. I have taken this up with my financial services provider, asking them to provide an alternative way of proving identity.

I would be very cautious before engaging.

Our prices have been increased by 5% in each of the past 3 years. I have just tried to query if we are on the correct package as we are paying roughly 3x the market rate per search.

Just been told that the cancellation window closes 3 months prior to the renewal date and it is September 2025 before we can change package.

Incredibly galling that they have locked us in for 15 months and then given us a 5% price increase.

Software companies all do this but this is by far my worst experience
